cmk418Summer of Oz is drawing to a close. I've had a great time seeing what everyone has created. And now we'll have a couple months to recharge before Magi starts up again. ;)
I have entered the age of technology, finally turning in my flip phone for an actual smartphone. I doubt I've even tapped its capabilities, but I like what I've seen so far.
Does anyone else watch "Murder in the First"? The guy playing Sugar Cascade is giving Taye Diggs a run for his money. That could be some slashy fun there. Sadly, each season seems to be a standalone so I don't hold much hope to see Cascade in 2016.
One week from now I'll be in beautiful Lincoln Nebraska (ok, the verdict is actually out on that one) and on my way to South Dakota for a week's vacation. I still have some planning to do, but most of the things are set. I'll try to post some pics as we make our way along. They won't all be of hockey arenas, I promise.

Last year we had Draco from Harry Potter..so I trust them to keep delivering good guest stars.Oh yeah..Sugar/Taye Diggs would be golden..I trust someone will do that. Or Sugar/his henchman..

Date: 2015-08-11 12:54 am (UTC)Every time I've finished watching an episode of Murder in the First this season, I've contemplated trying to pick up "The Wire" again. I saw a few episodes of season 1, but I never stuck with it long enough to take. I'll have to look on A03 for some Sugar/Terry fic, I'll let you know if I find any.
Nebraska should be nice. We've driven through there before (never stopped anywhere) and it's pretty country. I'm looking most forward to the Badlands and the Black Hills - I've been missing the mountains since I moved back from L.A. so I'll take any excuse to see them.

Avon/Stringer Bell have got fic about them..I even got one for Yuletide..The Wire sold me on Idris Elba in a big way, and he's just one great actor in the show. Plus I love Omar Little..

Not saying that the characters aren't well-written because they are, but there doesn't seem to be much of a story arc for anything outside the case(s) most of the time. I think I've learned more about the DA this year than anyone else.
