cmk418Found this on cornerofmadness's page and thought it'd be fun. Full disclosure- I'm not fully updated on Ao3 yet, but this is just based on what's in there now.
1. What rating do you write most fics under?

To say I have a hard time writing explicit scenes is putting it mildly.
2. What are your top 3 fandoms?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV) (121)

It's really only the tip of the iceberg with OZ because I've got 169 drabbles in one post
3. What is your top (3) character(s) you write about?

6. Did any of this surprise you? e.g. what turned out to be your top tag.
River/Zoe was the most surprising and proof that I haven't updated Ao3 fully since I once wrote Giles/Xander fics every day of October 2008 (it was G/X month and I was unemployed.) There are those and also works for open_on_sunday and more than likely various Oz drabble trees that I haven't added as of yet.
It also shows that I tend to undertag (as in having the relationship tag, but not tagging individual characters when I've tagged them for relationships). That said, having AU-Canon Divergence as my top Additional tag didn't surprise me because I like to warn if the fic isn't what people expect from the fandom.
Also, I really need to write more "Sean Murphy is a closet dom" fic and bump that tag up.

Date: 2024-07-06 03:41 am (UTC)The Christmas thing is weird, I'll admit, but when I'm searching in new fandoms, particularly ones with a lot of works, the two tags I'll randomly search for are "first kiss" and "Christmas". I'm a sucker for both, which is probably why I did it. And I probably have a ton of first kiss/first time fics, but never tagged them as such.

I'm sitting here vaguely annoyed Hallmark interrupts my Hallmark mysteries with Christmas in July) First kiss, however would be fun. I don't write a lot of it but I think that might actually be on my current bingo card

Date: 2024-07-06 03:40 am (UTC)On my account I'm surprised to see only 25% of my fics are E rated. But most of those are longer fics, and are from two or three specific series. I wrote a lot more gen and teen and up than I remember.

Date: 2024-07-06 03:49 am (UTC)25% is still a pretty good percentage of E rated material. I think a lot of mine that I've rated Teen could be considered General Audiences. Tame, but suggestive, is my usual m.o.

Date: 2024-11-05 05:50 am (UTC)So, you have to tag for both in order for it to show up in searches! I learned this after having done the same, say, tagged for Beecher/Keller but not listed them off individually -- but, if someone's searching for just Beecher or just Keller, it won't show them the B/K fic. They'd only find the fic by specifically searching for that ship. I added a ton of character tags. oof
I mean you don't *have* to. But it will limit the results of other ppls' searches & filters.
