Some guy was just outside my apartment knocking on my door - he's probably looking for the pro that lives next door to me.  My theory is that if it's after 11o'clock at night or before 6 in the morning - the place had either better be burning down or you'd better be a process server, because there's no excuse for that shit.  Wrong apartment.  And I caught a glimpse of the guy.  She'd probably be really hard up to go near him.  I cannot believe I just went there and took you all with me.  Must purge brain - am starting "Unnatural Disasters" - the epi with one of the creepiest endings ever -now.  BTW, they have these new Hallmark cards with sound clips in them from different movies and television shows - the last moments of this episode would be perfect for one of them.

So thinking about my favorite Oz characters today (without including Beecher/Keller) - it was hard to narrow the list down to five - but here goes - 1) Ryan O'Reily - I hated the manipulative little shit after seeing the first season on DVD, in fact I caught a few minutes of the show I'm watching now sometime after that and my reaction was "he's still on?"  And now I'm glad that nobody shanked him over the course of six seasons, but people like that always manage to get by  (2)  Kareem Said - especially Said in love, there's something about watching him get excited about something that is really compelling  (3 - tie)  Tim McManus/Vern Schillinger - this is more actor-based than character based, both Terry Kinney and J.K. Simmons are pitch perfect in their delivery which makes the characters all the more fun to watch  (4)  Donald Groves - my little bit of brightness in season one, every gesture, every word was unexpected  (5)  Miguel Alvarez - he ran the gamut of emotions and experiences throughout the show.   (Hon)  Simon Adebisi - when they need two characters to fill your shoes after you're gone, you've got something.

I just realized that my backup plan for Oz 666 viewing may not work.  I'll send off one DVD tomorrow, but since the Netflix folk don't work weekends and there's no mail on Monday, chances are slim that I'd have the first 3 in the mail on Tuesday morning - who knows maybe they'd send it sooner.  So it's now just having to make sure that Borders has my copy set aside for me to come and pick it up.  That's still the main plan.  Ooh, they are about to utter one of the two worst lines in the first five seasons.  On the surface, it's not a bad line, but it's the fact that it's said to no one in particular (credit to Fontana/B. Winters for this travesty) - "I lied.  Alexander Vogel was my friend."  Richie never heard Stanislavsky say anything about Vogel so it makes no sense to say it to him.  It's just an audience anvil.  So, now with the decent lines from "Unnatural Disasters"

Little Andrew is going to be as safe as if he was in his mother's arms. - Beecher

She was fired because she was incompetent, not because I didn't want ot fuck her anymore - McManus (Kinney once again with the delivery)

There's only two things I know how to do - fight and suck - Jason Cramer

When life is good it's better not to question why - Stanislavsky

You have a cappuccino machine? - Mukada to Nappa

Years ago, Nino Schibetta taught me how to play this game, pinocchio - Adebisi

All women is bitches.  All women.  Bitches - Kenny Wangler

Happy birthday to me.  Happy motherfuckin' birthday to me.  Happy birthday... - Wangler
.. to Kenny.  Happy birthday to you.- Adebisi (I get chills from this scene every time)
