Fandom Snowflake Challenge 2

In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Personal creative goals-
1) Shoot for that 125k word marker again this year. I didn't make it last year, but there were times when the last thing I wanted to do was write, so I'm hoping to make those periods fewer and farther between
2) Get better at icon making- I've made a few, but I'd like to do more than just find a picture and crop
3) Paint! I bought acrylics and am going to try my hand at painting on metal
4) Continue to update my Ao3 and cross-post there as I go
Other goals-
1) Journal at least 5 times a week and update my posting to my LJ & DWs accounts more often (and maybe actually post something about myself in between July and December
2) Give feedback & rec things I really like & give encouragement to people that need it
3) Keep my health in line with regular doctor's appointments & exercise
4) Read some of the books that have been lingering on my bookshelf or in my Kindle
5) Find a TV series that I like and binge watch it (or maybe finish seasons 1-3 of "The Wire")
6) Try to be kinder (it's always on my yearly list)

Sometimes it's good to have a goal-free year and just go where the Muses and fates take you.
Thanks for commenting!

Painting on metal sounds interesting. I've seen people paint rural scenes on saw blades. *ponder* You could probably buy very cheap things to paint on at a junk shop, and just need to clean them up. I imagine it's what a lot of the paint-on-metal folks do around here.

Re: Thoughts
I work for an HVAC company and there's a metal shop in the back so I can gather scrap from there. I perked up a $5 IKEA mirror last year with it and have wanted to try to paint on it for the better part of a year.
