The writing was so good. That's what got me. You've got all these moments where you're cringing or laughing or praying that nothing bad happens to this character or thinking "anti-aging drugs, really?" but it was a perfect show and there'd be nights where I'd be tired but telling myself "just one more episode". And other nights where I'd just be content to watch Ryan O'Reily jump down from his bunk at the end of "A Word to the Wise" on an endless loop for about ten minutes (it really does cure what ails you).
One of these days I'll pull out my season 4b/5 DVDs and work on my Jia fic.
